The women of Arsenal returned to winning ways on Sunday with a victory 3-0 over Sunderland in Superliga 1.
Louise Quinn, Vivianne Miedema and Jordan Nobbs were in scoring at Arsenal in the victory.
The Gunners came into play thanks to Reading's costly loss in the previous weekend, but interim manager Ismael Garcia made sure his charges would be winners again this weekend.
Despite his early dominance, Garcia had to wait until the 58th minute for the first game. Quinn led Arsenal to the head of a Nobbs set to open the scoring in Meadow Park. Shortly after, Dutch international Miedema doubled the lead with a dazzling outreach effort after linking with Dutch international Danielle van de Donk.
Nobbs completed the loss in the 76th minute when Arsenal recorded their third win of the season in five games.
WSL's two-time winners moved to third with 10 points, five points behind leaders Manchester City and three points behind Chelsea.
They are next in action on Thursday in the Continental Tires Cup against Watford at Kings Langley, while Sunderland also travels to Sheffield on the same day.
It remains to be seen if new manager Joseph Montemurro will be available on Thursday as it is speculated that he is still waiting for his work permit.
